At USINDO Luncheon

PerkinElmer Fluid Sciences is very pleased to be able to sponsor this USINDO luncheon. In addition to engaging in substantive conversations with Ismeth Abdullah, the new governor of the Province of Riau Islands, and Arifin Siregar, former ambassador to the U.S, we are pleased to be able to present the Batam story to all of you here. In this discussion we hope to address both the very positive aspects of doing business in Batam and some things we believe would make it even more inviting for expansion by those currently doing business there and startups considering an Asian presence.

PerkinElmer has two separate facilities in Batam; one producing flash lamps in high volume for the photography market, and a 3 year old startup producing engineered products for the aerospace, semi-conductor, automotive and energy technology markets. We have been very pleased with these operations and the quality of the people we have been able to attract.
