NEW YORK -- October 10, 1997

Asian America Television looks into the current economic turmoil in Southeast Asia and examines the prospects for future growth and recovery in the region. Tony Emerson of Newsweek Magazine moderates a panel discussion featuring Chulatip Nitibhon, Senior Vice President and Area Manager - North America and Europe of Siam Commercial Bank, a major Thai financial institution; Scott B. MacDonald, Director of Sovereign Research, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Co., a prominent international investment bank; and Keith W. Rabin, president of KWR International, Inc., a research, communications and consulting firm that works with Asian and international public- and private-sector clients on trade, investment and public affairs issues.

This program will be shown in the New York metropolitan area on Tuesday, October 14, 1997 at 7:30pm - 8:00pm on WNYE-Channel 25 and nationwide Friday, October 17, 1997 through Sunday, October 19, 1997.
