(Global Synergy Associates) Businessman to conduct Korean Symphony Orchestra in all-Beethoven charity concert (for the unemployed)
Seoul, Korea -- August 26, 1998
On September 16, 1998, T. W. Kang, a management consultant, will lead a professional orchestra in Seoul. The Korean Symphony Orchestra is considered to be the best orchestra in the private sector in Korea; conductors such as Chung Myung Whun have seen fit to conduct this orchestra. In Korea, this type of non-specialist /professional combination is without precedent In the U.S. however, Kang has conducted a professional orchestra based in Silicon Valley, called the San Jose Symphony Orchestra. This event brought the high tech communities and the orchestra together culminating in people like Chairman Gordon Moore of Intel taking an active interest in the activities of the orchestra.
This time, Kang plans to bring an international audience into this multifaceted concert. In addition to Korean executives, executives from American, European, and Japanese firms based in Korea will be in the audience. Also, all the proceeds from the concert will be contributed to an unemployment fund. Some claim that conducting an orchestra and leading a business organization have many things in common. Come see for yourself and please bring your spouse!
