(KSDA) Korean Securities Dealers to Hold Seminars in Boston, New York and LA


NEW YORK -- June 12, 2000

The Korea Securities Dealers Association and the Korea Society will sponsor a series of seminars for potential U.S. investors in Korea in Boston, New York and Los Angeles later this month.

The seminars, organized under the title Portfolio Korea 2000, will focus on Korean securities and emerging venture and technology companies.

Speakers, who will include former U.S. ambassadors to South Korea, will also brief investors on this week's summit meeting between the leaders of North and South Korea.

Among the scheduled speakers are Chang Mo Bae, chairman of the KSDA; Buhmsoo Choi, senior counselor at the Financial Supervisory Commission; Nam Park, head of the KODIS (Kosdaq, Internet, Small & Medium Cap) team at Hyundai Securities Co.; and James Rooney, governor of the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea.

The events are free to qualified individuals, including investors, financial professionals, executives and journalists. The seminars take place June 28 in Boston, June 29 in New York and June 30 in Los Angeles.
