"U.S. investors and executives are increasingly enamored by the potential of China and the opportunity that it offers," noted Nicholas Lardy, Senior Fellow, The Brookings Institution. "The prospects are indeed enormous but the reality quite complex, particularly as China moves to make the many adjustments that come along with WTO membership."

"The emergence of China represents huge opportunities as well as challenges for internationally-focused businesses and services firms", commented Satoshi Miyamoto, Executive Director of JETRO New York. This seminar is designed to identify some of the ways in which growth in this dynamic economy will impact the WTO system as well as bilateral and multilateral trade relations between the U.S., Japan, other Asian nations and the world at large."
