"In the aftermath of last year’s Bali bombing and an uncertain global economic environment, Indonesia has been maintaining a healthy growth rate that is expected to hit 3.5-4% this year. Furthermore the Jakarta stock exchange is up almost 40% so far in 2003 -- making it one of the best performing indexes in the world . Given Indonesia’s rich resource base, its comparative cost advantage and the talents of its people, we have every reason to believe this performance will continue in the future,” noted Wayne Forrest, President of the AICC.

“We are therefore pleased to provide investors, executives and other individuals with this opportunity to hear directly from President Megawati and her ministers regarding current trends in Indonesia as well as its ongoing commitment to maintaining economic growth and reform, the development of democracy and democratic institutions, as well as efforts that are being made to advance and further the global war on terrorism."

Corporations and other entities that would like to ensure priority seating and access to a pre-event meeting with President Megawati are invited to seek additional information regarding the availability of a select number of Chairman and Presidential tables of ten. Special seating will also be offered on a space-available basis to journalists who would like to cover this event in a reserved press section on a complementary basis.

Individuals interested in attending AICC’s executive breakfast meeting with President Megawati and key Indonesian government ministers are invited to register ($125 per person registration fee for Members of AICC or Cooperating Organizations and $150 per person for non-members) online at http://www.aiccusa.org/upcoming_events.htm or asked to forward a request to the contact indicated below.
