Stanley C. Gale, Chairman and CEO of The Gale Company, will address the historic partnership between his company and POSCO E&C to build and develop New Songdo City, located on 1,500 acres of reclaimed land along Incheon’s waterfront.  A project with enormous geopolitical implications, New Songdo City is a major component in the planned transformation of South Korea into the hub of Northeast Asia.  It also represents the first US/Korea real estate joint venture in the history of Korea.  When completed in 10 years and at a cost of $20 billion, the fully planned ultramodern city will be the size of downtown Boston. New Songdo City will be built very much like New York City with a central park, convention center and central high-rises.  Designed to support the needs of modern businesses and the lifestyles of those who run them, it promises to have the best of retail shopping, living quarters, office buildings, museums, hospitals, schools and will include amenities such as a Jack Nicklaus golf course.  Among the topics for discussion, Mr. Gale will address: How does a New Jersey-based real estate development firm plan to change the map of South Korea? What does New Songdo City have in store for U.S. businesses? What impact could the New Songdo City model have on real estate developments across the Asian region?

Mr. Gale is the founder of The Gale Company, a diversified real estate investment and services organization headquartered in Florham Park, New Jersey with offices in California, the U.K. and South Korea.  As its chairman and CEO, he leads the operation of a global real estate portfolio, concentrating on the sourcing of equity opportunities and the establishment of joint venture partnerships with financial investors and institutions. His involvement further encompasses establishing policies, procedures and the overall strategic direction of the organization, as well as advancing an operating philosophy that embraces quality service, total client satisfaction and community improvement.
