The
Busan Port Authority (“BPA”) is pleased to join
forces with the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic
Zone Association (“BJFEZA”)
and the Korea International Trade Association
(“KITA”)
to host the first Busan North American
Investment Forum. It will be held on June
14, 2005 from 9:00AM-1:30PM at the Waldorf
Astoria Hotel at 301 Park Ave. in New York
City.
As the largest container port in North
Asia and the center of Korean industry, Busan
offers U.S. firms, project developers
and financial professionals a wealth of attractive
business and investment opportunities.
Its competitive advantage rests on its strategic location
as a major maritime hub, along with its extensive
industrial infrastructure, superior educational
system and highly-dedicated workforce.
The creation
of the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone in
March 2004 – a 25,000
acre complex that includes Busan New Port, the Busan Science and Industrial
Park and a range of other facilities – also offers foreign corporations
and investors a range of tax and other incentives. This further accentuates
Busan’s attractiveness as a business and investment destination.
In addition, Busan, Korea’s second largest city, is
a thriving and dynamic metropolitan center, surrounded
by scenic mountains, rivers and sea. Possessing
superb beaches and hot
springs and ample sports
and cultural facilities, Busan provides a
high quality of life and cost of living that is
significantly lower than many competing locations
in the region.
We hope that you will join with us on June 14th
so that we might tell you more about our city and how we can work together
to maximize your business success.
Sincerely,
President, Busan Port Authority
